National hourly + per visit 50th percentiles by auspice
The national hourly rate for RNs in home health increased 2.76% from 2015 to 2016, according to the 2016-2017 Home Care Salary & Benefits Report, just released by Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service (HCS). RNs at Visiting Nurse Associations (VNA)/Visiting Nurse Services (VNS), received the highest rate of $32.71, followed by the hospital-based agency rate of $31.46. The RN rate at not-for-profit agencies was $29.68 compared to $29.93 at for-profit agencies.
1,914 home health agencies participated in the study. The complete 240-page Report contains 64 jobs reporting on salaries, bonuses, and hourly & per visit rates. Data are reported by state, CBSA, nine geographic regions, agency type and revenue size. Also included are 16 fringe benefits, planned percent increases, turnover rates, and personnel policies.
