Rehab Director Salaries Increased 3.10% in 2021

October 2021--The recently published HCS Rehabilitation Salary & Benefits Report shows Director of Rehabilitation salaries increased 3.10% in the long-term care sector and 3.01% in the hospital sector in 2021. Data reflects rates effective May 2021.

In a comparison of rate increases by healthcare type in 2021, hospital Directors of Rehab. received a 3.10% rate increase, long-term care Directors of Rehab. received a 3.01% rate increase, while home health agencies saw the highest pay increase of 7.01%.

In hospitals, the lowest salary for Directors of Rehab. was reported in Arizona, where the 50th percentile was $113,228; the highest was reported in New Jersey, at $140,000. For long-term care, the lowest salary was reported in Ohio, at $72,113; the highest was reported in California, at $113,360.

3,122 total facilities participated in the study, including 1,806 long-term care facilities, 373 hospitals, and 943 home health agencies.  The Report covers 19 therapy jobs, salaries, bonuses, hourly and per diem rates.
