Salaries Increase for CCRC Director of Nurses

Oakland, NJ, June 2011 -- The national average salary of Director of Nurses in Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) increased 2.56% in 2011, according to the 2011-2012 Continuing Care Retirement Community Salary & Benefits Report, just published by Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service (HCS) in cooperation with LeadingAge (formerly aahsa). The percent increase represents only those CCRCs that participated in both the 2010 and 2011 Reports.

Nationally, the Director of Nurses position reported a 5.40 percent of bonus to salary, with an average bonus of $4,436.

496 CCRCs participated in the 14th annual study and provided compensation data on more than 76,900 employees, covering 42 management and 45 nonmanagement positions. Findings are reported according to revenue size, total unit size, geographic region, state and county. The 2011-2012 CCRC Salary & Benefits Report also includes 18 fringe benefits, turnover rates by department, and projected salary increases for 2011 to 2012.
