Hospital Chief Nursing Exec. Salaries Increase in 2011

Oakland, NJ, August 2011 -- The national average salary of Chief Nursing Executives increased 2.24% from 2010 to 2011, according to the 2011-2012 Hospital Salary & Benefits Report, just released by Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service (HCS).  This figure is a comparison of hospitals across the nation that reported data for both the 2010 and 2011 Reports.

2011-2012 Hospital Salary & Benefits Report

38.83% of survey participants provided bonus data for the national study.  The average national bonus reported for Chief Nursing Executives was 19.13% of salary. 

539 hospitals participated in the study and provided compensation data on more than 211,664 employees nationwide.  The Report covers 179 hospital positions including management, nursing, rehabilitation, dietary, radiology and technical positions.  Data are reported according to revenue size, bed-size, geographic region and state.  Also covered are 12 fringe benefits, turnover rates by department, and projected salary increases for 2011 to 2012.  Data are effective as of May 2011.
