Salaries Increase for CCRC Director of Nurses

Oakland, NJ, June 2010 -- The national average salary of Director of Nurses in Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) increased 2.11% in 2010, according to the 2010-2011 Continuing Care Retirement Community Salary & Benefits Report, just published by Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service (HCS) in cooperation with the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA). The percent increase represents only those CCRCs that participated in both the 2009 and 2010 Reports.

Nationally, the Director of Nurses position reported a 10.11 percent of bonus to salary, with the average bonus being $8,323.

527 CCRCs participated in the 13th annual study and provided compensation data on more than 81,630 employees, covering 42 management and 40 nonmanagement positions. Findings are reported according to revenue size, total unit size, geographic region, state and county. The 2010-2011 CCRC Salary & Benefits Report also includes 22 fringe benefits, turnover rates by department, and projected salary increases for 2010 to 2011.
